Can you feel the terror in the air?

Damn it all. When I was a kid, the fourth was singularly the third no fourth best holiday of the year. First was Christmas, then Thanksgiving, oh and Halloween was real special. Then came the most exciting adventure day, The 4th of July. Exciting because we would all go around and blow stuff up all day, and shoot bottle rockets at everything and roman candles too. Even though it was illegal and I lived in Ohio and my father was a cop it was OK this one day to light cherry bombs and ash cans and all sorts of long strings of firecrackers, that were savored one black cat at a time, one ant mound at a time, one over turned fruit juice concentrate can at a time. And at night there was no building clutter between me and an amusement park 7 miles away and every one on our block would stand out on their bar-b-Que patios with said in hand and watch the fireworks go off over Myers Lake. You would see the flash and the reports would take forever to get to you. Damn it was a blast. It was 1960 and I was 14. Ike was the president. And Bush was blowin up stuff too. He's still blowin up stuff and the 4th has lost some glitter as these freedoms we celebrate, slowly through fear and ignorance are allowed to erode and it isn't gonna get better any time soon. Fireworks in the neighborhood just piss me off now. There's a zillion buildings between me and the nearest free fireworks display. I shoot my gun.

Doesn't that about say it all. This is gonna be a tough sell to some of you but to other turned on tuned out hippie vagabonds born in the year prior to the Roswell incident it doesn't have too. I am pissed and there is no getting over it or under it or around it. My website A Rose is a Rose has been saying what I have not been able to express in this format until this fortuitous day. It has been my uncompromising response to the Bush administration, and its policies, through the Art of words and pictures.
Ass-kickin anti-Bush shirts and Gear for an ass-kickin Anti-Bush Nation.
I am gonna rant and revel in it. Criticisms will be responded to like all seeds in succulent fruit. They shall be spit out unceremoniously or with venomous passion. Try to keep the four letter words to a minimum but by all means if you have something to say that needs profane punctuations then by all means poot. Just don't use fuck for every other adjective or word. That's funny to listen to, but impossible to read without thinking that the author is a fucking moron. Later Gator.
